Magento Image Clarity Extension
Ever noticed that the quality of your Magento product images don't match the quality of your original source images? This frustrating problem is caused by Magento compressing all image uploads to 80% quality, resulting in image pixelation.
Now you can fix this out-of-the-box Magento issue with our easy to use Image Clarity Magento extension. Once installed, our extension provides a configuration setting (see screenshot thumbnail above) that allows you to set the default quality of all images uploaded to your Magento store.
Features:
- Fixes Magento's image compression & pixelation problem
- Easy to install
- Simple configuration settings
- Control image upload quality from 50% to 100% of original
- 100% Money Back Guarantee
Configuration
To configure the Image Clarity Magento extension, navigate to System > Configuration > Activo Extensions > Image Clarity. Under JPEG quality, select your desired image upload quality from the dropdown menu.
IMPORTANT! After making any change, be sure to clear image caches. In order to that go to System > Cache Management, press Flush Catalog Images Cache button at the bottom. Than refresh all cache types from the list there.
Please note that Image Clarity can only improve the quality of the resized images (Magento automatically generates the resized images for thumbnails and previews from the original images when you upload them). It cannot improve the quality of the original images you were uploading if those were of the poor quality or had some compression artifacts.
