Terms of Service

By purchasing any products from the Activo Extensions store you thereby agree to the following Terms of Service.  "Activo Extensions" (further referred as "Activo") is a division of "Activo, Inc."

 

License

All Professional Extensions are subject to Activo License Agreement for Professional Extensions.  You can find the latest copy of the full license agreement at the following URL: https://extensions.activo.com/license_professional

All Free Extensions are released under the Open Software License v. 3.0 (OSL-3.0). Please read the full license agreement here: http://www.opensource.org/licenses/OSL-3.0

 

Disclaimer of Responsibility

This software comes without any warranty express or implied. We will not be liable to you for any damages (including any loss of profits/saving, or incidental or consequential) caused to you, your information and your business arising out of the use or inability to use this Software. Activo extensions are not standalone product and require a functional Magento installation. Customers are responsible for acquiring a valid license from Magento separately. Activo extensions will run only on versions of Magento listed in "Magento Editions Compatibility" section of a respective extension documentation.

 

Installation

All Activo Extensions for Magento come with automated installation package utilizing Magento Connect Manager 2.0. We created a simple document and a sreencast outlining the Magento extension installation process with Connect Manager for your convenience. Activo does not guarantee the installation process via Connect Manager to operate properly on your particular Magento installation.

If you are unable to install the extension on your own, Activo offers the paid Extension Installation Services (for Activo own products only) performed by our staff. In order to useour paid installation service, you are required to provide our personnel with the correct and sufficient access information to your web server(s). Please note that resolving compatibility issues arising from modified core Magento code and/or other 3rd party components in your store is outside the scope of this Installation Services.  All installation service purchases are not refundable.

 

Support

Activo prides itself for the exceptional user support we provide for our extensions. With all US based team we are trying to take support for our extensions to a new level. 

  • All our Enterprise Extensions are covered with the free telephone support for the life of the enterprise contract.
  • We offer free email-based support for all our legally purchased Professional Extensions for the 3 months since date of the original purchase.  Support is limited only to the versions of Magento supported by each particular extension.
  • For our Free Extensions we provide a free community support via our support forum for the life of the extension.

The email support tickets (where eligible) are processed 9 am to 5 pm Pacific Time, Monday through Friday, excluding US federal holidays. 

Tecnical support does not include addressing compatibility issues on Magento installations with missing or modified core components, missing required components and/or any 3rd party add-ons.

 

Messaging and Notifications

As a part of our service we may be sending you some security notifications, product updates and promotional messages. The messages might be sent either to your email address on account and/or via admin notification RSS feed. By using Activo extensions you grant us permission to send you such messages.

 

Upgrades

Activo customers are entitled for free upgrades of the purchased extensions within the same major version. All customers will also be eligible for one free next major version upgrade within 6 months of purchase.  All other upgrades to the next major version may incur additional upgrade costs.

 

Our 100% Money Back Guarantee

Activo offers a 100% no questions asked money back guarantee for all our Professional Extensions purchases for a 14 day period since the day of the original purchase.

In order to request a refund, customers should remove all copies of software from their servers and provide us with an affidavit via our contact form or via our support email at [email protected], including the date of the original purchase, order number and the domain names they purchased the extension for.

Customers are required to uninstall the Product from their servers and delete all the copies and derivatives before requesting the refund. Customer shall include an affidavit that they removed the extension from their servers and understand that they cannot use the Product any more in the email with their claim. 

Refund requests submitted after the initial 14 days guarantee period shall not be accepted. Activo will verify the license and purchase information on all refund requests and reserves the right to deny the refund of any money if customer information is incomplete or incorrect. Please provide up to 3 business days for processing your refund requests.  Refunds will be issued in the same manner as the original payment has been made. Refunds may not exceed the original amount paid to us minus the bank processing fees where applicable. No refunds shall be issued on the purchase of any installation or customization services.

 

Confidentiality

Customers agree to keep confidential all the proprietary information received from Activo as a result of purchase of any our product(s), including (but not limited by) any code, documentation, training, art and any other materials, including all the derivatives.

 

Modification

Activo reserves the right to modify any portion of these Terms of Service at any time.
